We want to share with you our photos from the September seasonal that we just held on the site of the future Compostela Hall.
This has been a time of connecting and reuniting, a time full of sincere affection, of laughter, of sharing life’s essentials, of inspired conversation.
In this light and elevated atmosphere we’ve been delighted to share this first celebration in the place where our Hall will soon materialize.
We’ve already had some good encounters with pilgrims, since the route passes right in front of the house that sits on the site.
We have also been establishing relationships of affection and kinship with the residents of the village of Vilaserío, where the land is located.
This is an important point for us, and we are giving it our best intentions and our dedication.
As for our current moment of process, we can tell you that we are waiting on two situations.
The first is the finalization of the building permit by the city council, which we hope will not take many more weeks.
At the same time, we’ve received a budget from one builder, and are waiting for two others to give us theirs, so as to be able to make a well-informed choice. This information should arrive in one or two weeks, and then we will choose a builder for the Hall.
We plan to contract with the builder only for the Hall foundations. The rest we want to build with the help of friends who have experience in the construction of other Halls and who have volunteered to come and collaborate in the building.
In addition to the beautiful and uplifting moments from our seasonal gathering, we also want to share with you the difficulties we are facing.
It turns out that after finishing the financial campaign, we still need around 45,000 euros more to cover the construction of the Hall. We are talking with friends to see how we can face this situation and resolve it in order to be able to make the Hall available to pilgrims in the year 2023.
A very strong intention has been set in motion for this project to materialize, and we have no doubt that we will soon see our Hall completed. But this is not an intention that is restricted only to a few; rather it is an intention shared by hundreds of friends who are pushing this project forward with their material help and with their askings.
